Clinic Sports Therapy and Corona Virus (COVID-19). Firstly may we mention how much we have missed our clients over lockdown and we are excited to see you again, but let's please not forget we are still in the middle of a pandemic and the following information is not to be forgotten or missed.
We can assure you we have been taking every measure possible for a safe return to reopening so we can welcome you back in to our therapy rooms. Prior to your booking and your appointment we encourage you to read the following to instil your confidence in us and so we can show you procedures we have put in place to keep our therapists and our clients of Clinic Sports Therapy safe.
At the time being it is not recommended from the government and our governing body The Society of Sports Therapists that we do not treat those clients over the age of 70, those also with underlying health conditions such as heart disease, lung disease, diabetes, suppressed immune systems (etc.) and those that have been suggested to shield.
Here are the measures we have taken and will continually be taking throughout our practice. We have completed a deep clean including in the MetCon studio, our waiting room, toilets and therapy rooms; which will be cleaned regularly throughout the day and between client appointments. We have completed a HSE regulated risk assessment and actioned as appropriate which can be found in the clinic. As therapists we have completed and passed many COVID-19 infection control courses including those from WHO and Barbicide. We have created a buffer time between patients to prevent waiting and over lapping clients. Appointment times will be very strict. We have invested heavily in to PPE in which we will be wearing for your appointment. As therapists we will be filling out our own COVID-19 Questionnaire and taking our temperature's each day. We may leave the therapy door open where appropriate, especially during subjective consultations, where a desk fan will be in use to encourage air circulation.
Here is what we expect from you our clients. Please appreciate and help us adhere to keeping the Clinic safe and virus free. It is essential that you please let us know, cancel your session and do not attend our clinic if you develop any COVID-19 symptoms or are generally feeling unwell; albeit the cancellation policy is still in place we will be very much understanding in this scenario. Face coverings, we strongly advise that you bring your own face covering to your session, we appreciate this may not be comfortable for some part of treatments and we will be able to discuss this at your appointment. We will be sending out a text message either 24 hours before your session or on the morning before to ask about your wellness, it is essential you reply to this or you risk refusal in to the building and therefore the cancellation of your session with no refund available. Please wait outside our building or in your car and therefore do not turn up too early for your appointment. Your therapist will meet you at the front door, where they will ask you to sanitise your hands, they will take your temperature and ask you to fill in our COVID-19 questionnaire. Upon completion, we will invite you up to our therapy rooms and start your session. Throughout your time with us please avoid touching any unnecessary surfaces and regularly sanitise your hands. We ask you to utilise the clear box we have provided to place your belongings and clothes in so this can be easily cleaned between clients. Bring yourself water to your appointment as we will not be supplying you with this service unless in an emergency. If you become ill within 21 days after attending our Clinic please get in touch with to inform us so we can take necessary action for our therapists and clients.
If you have any further questions, worries or concerns, please get in touch with us. We are here to give you a sense of normality and we still want to provide you with the excellent service we strive to deliver, but for now we all need to work together to keep everyone safe.
Thank you, team Clinic.
